Higher denier is not automatically better. Abrasion exposure, carried weight, pack weight budget and coating compatibility should drive the choice.

This guide is a working summary. The detailed tables and drawing notes are shared with buyers during specification review.

What this guide addresses

  • Are the reference styles on this site the only options you build?

The listed styles are reference constructions, not a fixed catalogue.

  • Can you change capacity without developing a new pattern?

Depth or height changes may reuse a pattern; geometry changes need a new one.

OEM follows your design; ODM develops the construction with you.

  • Which parts of a backpack can be customised?

Fabric, colour, layout, structure, harness, hardware, marking and packaging.

Are the reference styles on this site the only options you build?

No. The styles shown are reference constructions used to explain structure and options. Production is built to your drawing, tech-pack or physical sample.

Can you change capacity without developing a new pattern?

Depth or height changes may reuse a pattern; geometry changes need a new one.

Small volume changes can sometimes be achieved by adjusting depth or height within the existing pattern. Larger changes to body geometry, compartment count or harness position require a new pattern and a new sample round.
