Factory & quality

The process is the proof.

A factory claim is only useful if it can be inspected. Below is the production floor, the four inspection stages and the documents you can request, with their scope stated.

Company data

Establishment year, floor area, capacity and team size are marked as to be confirmed. They are not stated until verified.

Cutting, stitching, marking, assembly, packing

Photographed process stages. Each stage has an owner and a check point rather than passing work down the line unverified.

Quality control

Four inspection stages, recorded per batch

Each stage produces a record. If a defect escapes, the batch reference allows the inspection history to be reconstructed.

IQC

Incoming material

  • Fabric weight and width
  • Colour against approved reference
  • Zipper, buckle and webbing lot check
IPQC

In-process

  • First-off approval at line start
  • Stitch density and bar-tack location
  • Webbing row count and spacing
FQC

Final

  • Construction against approved sample
  • Hardware function and finish
  • Marking and label placement
OQC

Pre-shipment

  • Carton count and packing confirmation
  • Barcode and carton marks
  • Batch reference recorded

Physical testing

Test items and what they establish

Test scope is agreed per program. A material report covers the material; it does not certify the finished pack. Both are stated with their scope.

Physical test items
Test itemMethodCriterion
Fabric abrasion and tearPer material standardConfirmed against program requirement
Zipper reciprocationRepeated open and closeFunction without separation
Seam and stitch strengthPull test at stress pointsNo stitch failure at rated load
Buckle and adjusterLoad and release cycleHolds adjustment, releases cleanly
Water repellencySurface spray evaluationFinish performance confirmed per fabric

Test pieces and third-party laboratory work are quoted separately. Acceptance criteria are confirmed in the program specification.

Documents

Request the current copy, not a logo

Documents are issued with their scope, issuing party and validity stated. If a document does not cover the item you are buying, we say so.

System document

Quality management system

Scope and validity are confirmed with the document. Where a specific material or component is required, request the corresponding test record.

Third-party inspection

Buyer-nominated inspection is welcome

Inspection access is scheduled with the production plan before dispatch. The inspector works to your criteria; we provide the batch records and carton references.

Traceability

Batch reference on every carton

Approved samples, material records and inspection checkpoints are retained per style. A carton reference leads back to the batch record rather than to a general claim.

Next step

Review the quality system against your requirement.

Send the specification and the evidence you need. We will state what is available, what is not covered, and what has to be arranged separately.
